Harrison Talarico Joins Adrift Lab

harrison

My name is Harrison, and I am thrilled to contribute to the inspiring research of the Adrift Lab in 2021. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have continuously sought opportunities to develop my skills in research science. In particular, volunteering at the Tasmanian Land Conservancy has provided me with invaluable field experience that will assist me in my honours project.

"Hope is the thing with feathers,

That perches in the soul

And sings the tune without the words

And never stops at all"

— Emily Dickenson

Shifting my focus from monitoring terrestrial birds to marine birds however may be a challenge! I am excited at the prospect of Drs Jennifer Lavers and Eric Woehler guiding me at the onset of my career in seabird conservation. Undertaking a multi-island project during covid-19 is an incredibly fortunate opportunity, and I am looking forward to the challenges my project will bring.
