We are honored to be the only successful project (out of a pool of 37 international applicants). We received glowing feedback from the assessment panel regarding our team and project, it was wonderful to read (because itโ€™s all true ๐Ÿ˜†).

Weโ€™ll use these funds (AUD$38k) to purchase high-resolution, solar-powered GPS tracking devices (wow!) so we can track the movements and success of juvenile shearwaters differentially impacted by ingested plastics during their 1st year at-sea. These fancy tags communicate directly with satellites, so we'll be able to check the progress of our birds in "real time" - follow along with us (and the birds!) starting May 2022 ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’š
