Adrift Lab PhD student, Amy Steel, passes her M1 candidature exam!!

Adrift Lab PhD student, Amy Steel, passed her M1 candidature exam this week. This is the equivalent of a Confirmation of Candidature exam (which is what it's called at most Australian universities) and is a huge achievement! The topic of Amy's presentation for her exam was "Managing threats to Healthy Country in the Recherche Archipelago" and she spoke about climate change, it's relevance to fire management on offshore islands, and seabird conservation. Her field work will kick-off in early-2024, perhaps sooner if we get dry lightning storms over the next few months...
