Megan Grant was recently selected as a recipient of a Blue Charter Fellowship from the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The fellowship will see Megan travel to Thurso, Scotland to collaborate with Drs Elizabeth Masden and Nina O’Hanlon from the Environmental Research Institute at the University of the Highlands and Islands.

Together, they will be working on an exciting plastic pollution project exploring the possibility of using photographs to identify and quantify plastic debris incorporated within seabird nests. Megan has previously worked on the topic of plastic incorporation in nests during her honours project and is excited to continue this research. We wish Megan all the best of luck during her three-month fellowship in 2019.
