Tweeting about Seabirds

The 5th World Seabird Twitter Conference is taking place from 9-11 April 2019. Scientists from around the world will present their research on various seabird species via the internet, ensuring this conference has an extremely low #CarbonFootprint.

During the conference, each presenter gets 15 minutes in which to tweet out four tweets about their topic – but with the added benefits that it is all completely cost- and carbon-free and you reach a much wider audience.

Megan Grant will present on April 11th at 8:30am (UTC 0). She will discuss findings from her Honours project which investigated how often Brown Boobies use #PlasticPollution in their nests, and what impact this may have on the species.

All tweets from the conference will use the #wstc5 hashtag, with themed sessions. You can view the full schedule and read more here.
